Things have been really weird at work lately, and have made me think back to the good ol' days, 4 years ago, when I first started.  Even though I did really dislike my job when I first started, it has grown on me over the years and become a place that I love and that is my second home.  We are like a family!  There are lay offs going on within the City, and I feel like I may be one of them!  I am really trying to be positive and am thinking that I really, really want to keep my job... but if I do get laid off, I will be able to spend all day with Kyle and just enjoy this time in his life; I will be able to read more, work on my craft projects; write; draw; spend time with my Abuelita who is teaching me how to knit more and more things; all until I find something new.

Here are some pictures during my time at HMBPD...
This picture is from my first few weeks at work.  THey have a big photo board right when you walk into the hallway of our department and this picture is up of me.
One year, we had a Records (I work in the Records department) luncheon in Foster City around Christmas time.  When we got back in the car we decided to stop at Hillsdale Mall on the way back to town and see Santa.  We had some really cute pictures taken, but this is by far my favorite!  These are our REAL personalities!  Santa sure loved us! :-)

This is Marie, one of my co-workers, at a retirement party in 2006 for our former Commander.

This is the day we rented a segway and I rode around the parking lot while shrieking with fright that I was going to fall, but also with laughter because it was so funny!  These two were spotting me in case I started to fall.  It was totally hilarious!

The day Robert surprised me at work (along with my parents as accomplices) and asked me to marry him. :-)

So, I am still not sure what is going to happen with my job, but I do have some great memories!  Hopefully I will still be in touch with my Records ladies and all our officers!

Tonight was really fun!  Dan, Erika and Elena came over tonight.  It was going to be a game night but we ended up just snacking, drinking, talking, and playing with Kyle and Elena.  It was a great end to this hectic week and Dan took the cutest picture of the babies!

happy weekend!

BATMAN!

caps

I have been on a total knitting kick lately.  I've stopped into the two knitting stores on the Coastside to buy some nicer yarn.  I went to Fengari, a yarn store on Main Street, and bought this pretty blue yarn.  It's really soft.  I had to ball up the skein myself.  I used a chair to help me.

The finished product:  Kyle looks cute!

I also made this hat for baby Coral.  I knit the hat and crocheted the flower and attached it to the hat.  This yarn is 100% organic cotton and I bought at the new yarn store in Princeton.

SF Station Music Gallery: NoFX

On Tuesday night Robert and I went to see NOFX at Slims in SF.  Robert LOVES NOFX and he had an awesome time and was in the mosh pit the whole time.  I declined to participate and opted to stay nearer to the back.  Even so, I still got mauled over by some guys pushing their way to the front really quickly and I got beer spilled all over my back.  But even so, I still had a great time, too!  The energy was very high and they were not only great musicians, but super hilarious, too!

We bought some patches to sew onto t-shirts for Kyle.  I asked the guy selling shirts and such if they had anything in baby sizes.  That's when he gave me the patch idea!  So I can't wait to make Kyle one.  He will look so cute!

On a Kyle note, he is trying to crawl at all times, but mostly, he just scoots around on his bottom!  He scoots best with no socks or pants on, just a diaper.  And does he scoot back fast!  It's the funniest thing.  I will try to post a video of it.  He also gives "hi-fives" now!

This weekend, since I have Friday and Monday off, all three of us are going to go to Sacramento and stay with Natalie and Ryen.  I can't wait!  I miss my best friend like crazy!!

Here is a link to a picture that was taken of us at the NOFX show by SFStation.com.

Meet baby Coral!  She is gorgeous.  She was born on February 7 at 12:48AM.  She is 20 1/2 inches tall and weighs 8 lbs, 10 oz...  Curt, Sonia and Coral are all healthy and excited!

Photo stolen from Curt's myspace page.  I have been super bad about actually using pictures that I have taken myself... sorry and thank you :-)

Gorgeous...

Curt took this picture of Sonia recently. It's so beautiful and I keep thinking of what a beautiful keepsake this picture will be for them.
