ELena's 1st Birthday!

Today, Elena turned 1!  I just can't believe how fast one year went by.  It seems like she was JUST a newborn and Robert and I were visiting the Whitemore family in the hospital!

The birthday party was held at my Uncle Tim and Aunt Lupe's house in Moss Beach and it was so much fun.  It was great to see all my cousins and also to see Sonia probably for the last time before she has baby Coral.  She is seriously about to pop.  Her due date was yesterday!

PS Erika and I put on the baby shower at my house and it was super cute!  Erika brought the cutest decoration and we hung it up all over my house!

Anyway, point is, it was a super fun day seeing my whole family.  I really cannot wait to see new baby Coral and I know everyone's on the edge of their seats wondering when Sonia will go into labor!  Elena was adorable whether it was holding court with all the other babies or threatening to touch her mommy's face with her frosting-covered hand.  Happy Birthday, Elena!

And although my camera died before I could take any cute pictures, I promise that I will steal my cousin Vanessa's facebook pictures to post on here from today because she took some great Kyle pictures!

After Christmas, Grandma Campos came to visit us for a week.  We had a really, really nice visit and Kyle got to spend a lot of time alone with his Grandma!  It was very relaxing-we spent the week watching movies, knitting, and just plain hanging out.  It was such a sweet visit.

After she went back home, Kyle started getting sick.  He was sick for almost a whole week!  It was actually really scary because he was throwing up, coughing, had small fevers, stuffy nose and was extremely irritable and spent hours crying.  It was really scary for me because I am used to a really easy-going, happy, healthy baby.  

Poor baby!

Then Robert got sick, too... here is a sick daddy and baby picture... they look so sick :-(

We had a wonderful Christmas!  We spent time with family, opened presents, and ate a delicious Christmas dinner.  

We went to my Uncle Tim's and Aunt Lupe's house for Christmas Eve.  Kyle and Elena played together, then we changed them into matching pj's and they looked so cute!

After opening presents and hanging out at home, we went to the IDES Hall on Main Street where there was a Christmas party that my parents were volunteering at.  My dad helped start an annual CHristmas day party for senior citizens that would otherwise be alone on the holiday.  This event gives them something special to do and makes them feel remembered.  It's been going on for about 7 or 8 years and it's how my whole family now spends Christmas Day.  Santa always comes to the party so we got to take some cute pictures with him!

It was a beautiful holiday and we can't wait until all the fun Christmases in the future with Kyle!
