hot hot hot

The weather has been SO hot lately!  I love it!  Living in Half Moon Bay means that the weather can be pretty unpredictable at times.  I mean, it sprinkled and was so ugly outside on my wedding day.  In July!  So having this heat wave in April is pretty cool since it's usually raining in April!  

Because of this amazing weather, we have been spending a lot of time outside since most houses out here do not have air conditioning and a fan just isn't going to cut it!  I have gotten some great pictures throughout these past few days!

On Friday, Kyle and I went for a long walk all over town meeting a friend for coffee, then meeting my dad for coffee across town.  It was a great way to start the gorgeous day!  Afterwards, we hung out in our backyard and my cousin Vanessa came to visit and I got a couple really cute pictures!

Yesterday, we met with our friend Colin, his daughter Savannah, and his friend Michelle and her 3 year old daughter and 8 day old son at Kelly Beach.  Colin is a police officer in Half Moon Bay and we became good friends while working together.  He and Robert have started going surfing together!  Yes, Robert is now surfing, which he used to tell me he probably would never do!  Colin moved from the Central Valley almost 3 years ago and started surfing so he is giving Robert pointers and they've been surfing together at least once a week.  It was SO hot at the beach and totally a beautiful day.  Robert did some surfing but since he is still learning, it was actually a little too rough out there for him to really learn anything.   We had a good time and I just enjoyed watching and snapping pictures of Kyle.  Even though I slathered some 50spf lotion on him, he still left a little red and a lot exhausted! :-)

Today we went to my parent's house to hang out in their front yard.  It was really cute since their dog and cats hung with us, as well!

Easter Sunday

We had a really great Easter yesterday.  In the morning, Kyle and I went to church (Robert had to work really early).  Kyle was SO good in church and they've started a new tradition where instead of an Easter Egg Hunt, they give out little Easter cards with chocolate crosses to all the kids at the end of mass.  Erika took Elena up to receive one, so I took Kyle up.  

Later on in the day, we had Easter dinner at my parent's ranch and it was really fun!  We did a little Easter egg hung in the front yard for Kyle and Elena (plastic eggs only, no candy).  Next Coral will be old enough to participate.  She is only a little over 2 months old now so she slept through it.  

Yesterday was also my 30th birthday.  It is really weird to not be in my 20's anymore.  I remember entering my 20's like it was yesterday so it feels strange to realize how fast it all went.  But I had a great decade and went through SO Many changes.  I'm thinking that my life changed more in my 20's than it maybe ever will.  I began them while living with my parents and being a college student and ended them with being married and having a baby; being an adult!!  Yikes!  :-)

Kyle also has been going through some changes, as well!  He has a second tooth now (I keep trying to photograph it LOL) and he has also taken up dancing. lol  Everytime he hears a song he starts shaking his hips from side to side!  It's really cute :-)  He has also started to stand up without holding on to anything.  He does it and gets a BIG smile across his face and he's just so proud of himself!

I bought Kyle this bag for Easter eggs at Rite Aid!  I love it!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today my dad turns 65 years young!  We are going to be celebrating tonight at my parent's house.  The whole fam will come over and we'll be having dinner, cake and Las Mananitas, played on the guitar by my Uncle Tim!

Kyle's first haircut

Kyle got his first haircut on Sunday, March 22!  Erika did it for him and he was such a good boy.  He didn't cry once and besides a little bit of moving and pulling away, he did a great job!

Unfortunately,  Robert went and deleted ALL the pictures off our camera... I really don't know why he did.  He asked me if his birthday pictures were on the computer already and when I said yes, he said he was going to delete them.  He says he asked me if all the pictures were on the computer but I don't remember that.  I do remember telling him that the all the videos were already on the computer.  Oh well... 

Not really oh well, I am pretty upset, actually!  Lately, he has been making videos and uploading them to youtube.com; when I asked if he had uploaded all the pictures of Kyle he said he hadn't-I don't know why he couldn't have uploaded them, as well, since he was uploading his video anyway.  And his videos are just of him talking to the camera regarding some reality tv celebrity.  So now, all his reality tv videos are saved, but not the priceless pictures of Kyle.  

Okay, I'm done. LOL   Seriously.  I know he didn't do it on purpose.

So I have at least ONE picture of Kyle's freshly done haircut.
