Marathon Man

Robert's been very much the marathon man lately!  During Half Moon Bay's Pumpkin Festival there was the annual Pumpkin Run, which Robert took part in.  Kyle and I were there at the finish line, of course, bright and early in the morning!
Here he is at the finish line... he was the only runner in tie-dye!

Then, one week later, he ran the Silicon Valley Marathon (he ran the 1/2 marathon.)  Kyle and I went along with my mom and dad.

Before the race.
The starting line in downtown San Jose (it was still dark out!  There were so many lights out though, that my flash didn't work very well LOL)

While Robert was running, we went out for breakfast!

It was REALLY sunny out so Kyle had to wear his little San Francisco hat my dad bought him :-)
Kyle with his grandpa!
After the race with his medal :-)  We're proud of Robert and all his running!!!
Kyle was exhausted after the race.  He fell asleep in his stroller on the walk back to the car from the finish line.  Hugging his armadillo doll... I named him Army.

Sonia's Wedding!

My cousin Sonia married Curt on Thursday, October 23, 2008.  It was a beautiful wedding!  And I was so honored that she asked me to sing at her ceremony.  The ceremony was family only and then they had a reception with all of their family and friends yesterday.  The reception was GORGEOUS with a view of the ocean, Montara mountain and the reception site itself was really, really pretty.  Sonia and Curt made a grand entrace-in a helicopter!  There was a huge field that is part of the venue that is for actual ceremonies and they landed there.  Not expected!  She looked sooooooo pretty and she wore a dress that my mom crocheted for her especially and she made a beautiful bride.  :-)  They are expecting a baby girl, Coral Ann Myers, in late January or early February of 2009.  I know our whole family is super happy for them!

Kyle is such an amazing baby.  He is so mellow and sweet.  Sometimes he gets loud and a little hyper.  He will literally scream with joy when he's feeling happy.  For the most part, though, he is so laid back and smiley.  It's so funny how even though he is so small, he totally has a definitive personality.  He enjoys the sound of a cough and a sneeze, it really makes him laugh; he likes his personal space-he sometimes hates it when he has too much in-your-face time.  Especially when the in-your-face time includes a loud voice LOL  He hates being cradled like a baby.  He likes being upright so that he can really look around.  When he's tired, he lets you know at first without crying- if you ignore his I'm-tired signs, he will then start crying.

It sometimes surprises me how easy he is.  I think we are really spoiled!  We love him so much and are loving being our own little family.

Kyle's new car!

We have gotten Kyle his first car.  It's a shiny, red convertible!  He loves it and looks so cute sitting behind the wheel.

Views from the Crib...

I love taking pictures of Kyle when he's in his crib.  He is so smiley, or sleepy, or happy, or loud!

Uncle Alex

When Kyle was about 5 weeks old, his Uncle Alex came to visit for almost a week.  We took pictures while he was here but soon after, the battery on our main digital camera died for good-the battery for the camera that contained all of the pictures from Alex' visit!  Since we had another digital camera to use we weren't in a huge hurry to get a new battery.  After finally getting the new battery we were able to upload all these pictures :-)

just some cute stuff

Elena got baptized about a month ago and it was a really sweet ceremony and Kyle was very excited for his cousin!  And Elena loves her Cousin Kyle (That's what everyone calls him!  Cousin Kyle).

I love when Kyle sits in his bumbo!  It's so cute!  We decided to slick down Kyle's hair one day with some of Robert's 3 Flowers hair creme and I loved it!  Kyle's hair still sticks up but it's starting to tame down a little.

He's starting to eat food now!  We had to stop giving him so much because the doctor said that some babies develop food allergies.  But once we get the go a head, we'll start back up!
He is always grabbing his feet and it's really so much fun!  The cutest is in the mornings when I go into his bedroom to see if he's awake and I open the door and see the little feet up in the air with his hands firmly grasping each one.  He always wakes with a smile. :-)

His favorite toy: his cow rattle blanket combo toy!
