Great Weekend!

Robert and I had the best weekend!  Even though our anniversary was 2 weeks ago, we decided to use Robert's work perks and stay at the Ritz Carlton in SF.
The Ritz SF at night.
Champagne that we got for free from the Ritz to toast for our anniversary!
A really sweet card and chocolates made from scratch at the Ritz, also from the Ritz to us for our anniversary.
The view from our room... we were right near China town so you can start seeing Chinese architecture.  Also, the blue in the background is the sky but also is the Bay.
This tent took up the entire courtyard.  It was for a wedding!  I saw the bride, groom and all the wedding party and it was so cute!

Our bed, sprinkled with pink rose petals :-)

We only stayed for one night, but it was really a lot of fun!  We swam all day and after showering, wanted to eat out somewhere really good and really fun.  I had heard of a really good southern BBQ place in SF called Big Nate's.  I thought it would make Robert really happy to eat one of his favorite foods.  When we went to catch a cab, the valet attendant told us that Big Nate's is more of a take-out restaurant, not a sit down type of place.  So we ruled that out and I tried to think of somewhere cool to have dinner.  I told the attendant that we'd go to North Beach and just find a place when he suggested a restaurant called Ideale Ristorante.
It was REALLY good and had the best atmosphere.  The host was really sweet, so was the bartender.  We ordered Moretti's while we waited and then had a great dinner (Lasagna for Robert, gnocchi for me) followed by a really yummy dessert that we'd never had before.  I don't even know what it was called but it was SO good.  Before actually eating dinner, when we first arrived at the restaurant, we walked up to the front window when Robert said, "Oh my God, it's Chris from Project Runway!"

Chris March was sitting at a table by the window, facing out towards the street.  Robert was SO star struck!  While we waited for a table, Robert decided to approach him to tell him what big fans we are.  It turned out that Chris wasn't so excited to have Robert interrupt his dinner.  Oh well.  At least Robert can say that he talked to Chris and we can say that we ate at the same restaurant as him!

This morning, my Uncle Tim called us to invite us to the Giants game.  The tickets belong to Vanessa's boyfriend, Spencer.  Neither of them could attend the game so they gave the tickets to Robert, me, Tim, Aunt Lupe, and my cousin Sonia.  These seats are AWESOME.  Seriously.  They are RIGHT behind home plate... well, right behind home plate and to the right.  The seats are so close to the field that when you watch the game on TV, you can actually see the seats!  From these seats, you are able to make eye contact with the players, hear them talk to eachother.  If you don't like a call that the umpire made, you could yell and he would definitely hear you!  They were so great and we had a really, really fun time.

San Francisco is not really that big of a city, so during our drive from the Ritz to the stadium, I took some pictures.

The view down California.  It's one of the streets that has a cable car line and you can see the Bay Bridge in between all of the buildings.
A cable car on California St.
The Bank of America building-I believe it's the tallest building in SF... with all the new skyscrapers, it may not be anymore.  But as far as I know, it still is!

Even though the Giants lost, we had such a fun time!

I missed Kyle like CRAZY since he spent the night with my parents.  It was great to see him when we got home.  Plus, our kitties missed US like crazy.  Especially Suzy Bee... she is like, really needy!  hehe  As I write this, she is laying down across my chest, sleeping.  She followed us ALL over the house and would meow/cry if we went into a room and closed the door without her.  She is adorable, though!

Love, Robert, Eugenia, Kyle, Mimi, & Suzy Bee!
